The Lions Back, Helm Crag. The Lake District

£20.00£55.00

Stood on top of Helm Crag looking down the Lions back towards Grasmere village and the surrounding landscape

Helm Crag is locally known as the Lion and the Lamb due to the rock formations at the summit. The ridge makes a rough Lion shape perched at the top with a smaller rock that resembles a small lamb. I climbed up here to watch the sun go down but soon realised the view in the opposite direction made for better photographs as the low light lit up half of the ridge adding some contrast to the lions back
