A lone tree above the duddon Valley

This was my 2nd time doing this walk up to Seathwaite tarn in the English Lake District, on the first trip I spotted this tree on the climb up but the light wasn’t quite right so I returned on a different day. The sun was out the second time adding some colour to the Duddon valley and also filling in the shadows on the grass-covered rocks in the foreground. This valley looks a bit barren when the sun isn’t out so it was worth returning on a nice day

From here I kept climbing up to get views over Seathwaite tarn before ascending onto the surrounding fells to look over at Scafell Pike
