Kentmere reservoir cottage isolated in the valley below the Kentmere horseshoe surrounded by the slate slag from the old quarry with the road leading up to the reservoir. You can’t tell in the photo but the wind was rushing down through the valley. Making it difficult to stand there. I think it helped to make it fell more isolated/cold though.
I liked how isolated the cottage looked compared the massive hills surrounding it. The lower fells look quite inviting but the cold icy fells above are more intimidating
