Brothers water and the Grisedale valley

We climbed up to Angle tarn after photographing the red deer rut in the morning to get views over the tarn and down on to Brothers water. As we got here it started to rain which worked out better for the photographs as it made the landscape a lot darker. When the sun finally came out it lit up the fields surrounding the water and the trees on the side of the Grisedale valley. To the left of the water, you can see the river making its way down Kirkstone pass

Autumn trees surrounding Windermere . The Lake District

The light was changing around pretty quickly as the sun was beginning to set and there were a few clouds in the sky. Fortunately, the sun came out as the boat made it’s way up the water which was good timing. Totally out of my control but I’m glad it all lined up. The sun was setting behind me which meant the front of the boat was all it up nicely
