Brothers water and the Grisedale valley

We climbed up to Angle tarn after photographing the red deer rut in the morning to get views over the tarn and down on to Brothers water. As we got here it started to rain which worked out better for the photographs as it made the landscape a lot darker. When the sun finally came out it lit up the fields surrounding the water and the trees on the side of the Grisedale valley. To the left of the water, you can see the river making its way down Kirkstone pass

The Priest hole Dove Crag. The Lake District

I’d heard stories about this cave up on the side of a mountain in the English Lake District that is often used by wild campers as a shelter overnight. I decided to head out and see if I could find it. I kept an eye out for a sunny day and headed roughly to the right area. I managed to spot the hole from the roadside and then I made my way through the farm, old mine workings and scrambled up and into the cave. It was worth the effort to get there
