I wasn’t sure which hill to climb between Coniston old man and Dow Crag so I flipped a coin and went with Dow Crag. The plan was to catch the sunset over the crossroads looking out over the bay. It was quite a promising start as there weren’t any clouds in the sky.
As I got to the last stretch the clouds rolled in, which did help to add a bit of atmosphere. This soon changed into being completely surrounded with no views. I waited at the top for a little while clutching at straws on what to do. Fortunately, my stubbornness paid off and the sun broke through the clouds. A brocken spectre appeared above Goats water.
