Winter On Red Tarn & Striding Edge, Helvellyn
The Lake District was covered in a layer of snow in mid march of 2015. My dad and I decided to have a walk up to the top of Helvellyn to take in the views from the top, looking across at Striding edge and down onto Red Tarn.
The water had been covered in a layer of ice which had started to melt, creating a jigsaw of ice on the surface of the water. An awesome view to look at whilst eating your lunch.
