Walking The Sunset Skyline Through The Clouds. Dow Crag
I decided to head up to Coniston Old Man in the English Lake District. The forecast wasn’t great as there was supposed to be a lot of clouds. I’ve climbed this mountain 25-30 times now though so I figured there would be less chance of getting lost as I tend to navigate these by recognising rocks
Once I got to Goats water the views started to clear up and the sun came out, I kept going with the intention of dropping down to the mines. Once I got to the top I got talking to some other walkers and we ended up sitting around watching the cloud inversions and watching the sunset.
The sunsets between Dow Crag and Scafell Pike, which meant the front of Dow crag was turned into a silhouette. There was a large group of people walking down the crag so I waited until they were in line with Harter Fell and got a photo of them on the horizon line with the cloud inversion, coloured by the sunset filling the sky behind them
