Sunlight Breaking Through The Clouds Onto Fleetwith Pike And Buttermere
Stood looking down the edge of Fleetwith pike as the clouds rolled through the valley occasionally leaving clear views of Buttermere and Crummock Water. The sun kept trying to break through, lighting up patches on the surrounding fells.
This day didn’t start off very promising as when we got to Honister pass we were surrounded by clouds and it felt like it was going to rain. We decided to head up Fleetwith Pike anyway as things change quite quickly when you’re up on the fells so maybe it would get better. We timed it just right and as we got to the top the wind picked up pushing through the clouds opening up the view over Buttermere and Crummock Water.
