Wastwater Screes Reflecting In The Early Evening Light
A landscape photograph was taken from Wastwater, which is one of the best views in the Lake District. The early evening sun was lower in the sky giving a soft light to the scene. The colours of the screes and Great Gable were reflecting in the water creating large patches of colour in the reflections.
I found one of the boulders sticking out from the water and stacked on some rocks and bark. From here you got views up to Great Gable and all of the surrounding fells. There was no wind on the day creating a mirror finish on the water. There are not many better places to spend the afternoon on a day like this
