The Old Peat Hut. Haweswater

A photographic print with the view looking down at one of the old peat huts on the Old Corpse road above Haweswater. The building used to be used to store peat which I believe used to be burnt to keep the houses warm.

Now the building is used to make a great foreground, as a feature on the landscape giving a scale to the scene. Opposite the building, you can make out a group of walkers starting the ascent up Riggendale towards High Street
