A photograph of Hoad Monument at night as the snow fell in Ulverston. The monument was being lit up by the surrounding spotlights which helped illuminate the statue, plus you could see the snow falling and swirling in the lights.
I’m glad this all lined up at the time as they have since changed/made the lights worse at the top so this isn’t possible anymore. The backlighting of the old spotlights helped to backlight the snow as it fell adding some texture to the light spots as the snow fell whilst the light inside the top shone out into the night sky.
