Herdwick Sheep Grazing In The First Light Around Wastwater. The Lake District

I had been photographing the cotton grass on the edge of Wastwater as the sun was starting to rise when I noticed a group of Herdwick sheep making their way across to where I was standing. I was hoping they would walk into my scene and start grazing the grass as they were surrounded by the cotton grass.

Fortunately, everything lined up at the right time just as one of the sheep looked up towards me
