Kelly Hall Tarn

Kelly Hall Tarn. The Lake District

A short walk up onto Torver Common will bring you out at this small tarn called Kelly Hall Tarn. It’s a popular location for photographers who enjoy the views of the lone tree which is usually reflecting in the water if the water is still.

From here you also get great views up to the Coniston Range with Dow Crag, Coniston old man and Wetherlam filling the skyline.

This is a location I go to when I’m feeling a bit lazy as it’s a 5-minute walk but you get great views over the surrounding fells. Looking up at the Coniston range will make you a bit envious and question your decisions though.
