Dow Crag is fell above the village of Coniston surrounded by small bodies of water and Lake District Fells. It is opposite Coniston Old Man with Goats water filling the valley between them. From the top you get views down into the Duddon Valley and across to the Scafell Pike range
It forms a ridge along the skyline joining up with Coniston Old Man and White maiden. This is one of the first mountains I climb, and one I’ve climbed many times since.
