High Street from Hartsop | The Lake District
My brother was home for the weekend so we decided to head into the lakes and do some walking. We decided to go up on to high street so we started the walk from Hartsop. I've done this walk quite a few times recently so I decided to take the opportunity to mainly get family photos rather than landscape shots this time.
We made our way from Hartsop up the track towards Hayeswater, there was a shepherd herding the sheep on the fell to our left which was pretty impressive, it just looked like it would be hard work. Then we stopped at Hayeswater to catch our breath and take in the views.
After that we kept climbing, had lunch and made our way to the viewpoint above Haweswater, it's at the point where the Kidsty pike path and High street paths meet, we sat here for a little bit looking at the deer in the valley - one day i'm going to suck it up and carry my 400mm lens up there and get some photos of them. From here we made our way up to the top and looked down on to Blea tarn and Haweswater plus all of the views whilst we were up there. You can see more in the photos below.
I didn't film the walk this time as I did it a couple months a go, you can see that video here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bfnEPfbjIL0
